Indiana University head baseball coach, Tracy Smith, is organizing a group of high school baseball players to participate in a weeklong tour to the Dominican Republic this summer. The dates are August 3-9. This is a unique opportunity from a baseball and cultural perspective to spend a week on the tropical island that produces more major leaguers, per capita, than any nation in the world. It is also a great opportunity to spend a week with a Division I college coach. I am confident this will be a rewarding and memorable experience.
This trip is open to baseball players who are currently in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade. There is a roster limit of 15 players. Currently, 13 are registered so there are two remaining slots that we are trying to fill.
If you know of any players who would have an interest in participating, please have them get in contact with us. Complete details are at http://www.dominicanbaseballcamp.com Please forward to any players who may have an interest.
I am assisting coach Smith with the organization of this trip. Feel free to call if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely
Sam LeBeau

Gene Stephenson Shocker Baseball Camp is proud to offer top baseball instruction for all ages. With several camps offered this summer, you are sure to find a camp that fits your player’s baseball needs. From basic skills camps for the beginning baseball player to advanced hitting, catching and pitching clinics for the elite player, Gene Stephenson Shocker Baseball Camp has it all.
Each player will receive instruction from the coaches of Wichita State as well as current and alumni players. We will demonstrate skills and provide instruction that will allow the player to continue to improve even after their camp experience is over.
Tyler Field, Home of Eck Stadium has the best atmosphere in College Baseball. This 2.5-million dollar facility is well over 28,500 square feet and will facilitate summer campers. There has been so much talent exhibited through camp…don’t allow your player to miss his opportunity.
One camp we would like to explain a little more is the Advanced Camp in June or August. If you have an interested prospect that feels he would like to continue his baseball career after high school, this camp provides players with an opportunity to be instructed by experienced baseball personnel.
Shocker baseball camps are limited by number so we can provide appropriate instruction. Camp information and registration is just an easy “click” away at our website, www.shockersbaseballcamps.com or simply calling Shelley at 316-978-3636 (shocker_sec@hotmail.com). We sincerely hope you will pass this information along to your athletes and allow them the opportunity to have a truly rewarding, unforgettable experience.
