CONCESSION STAND PROCEDURES--BEFORE THE GAME:

  • Place water jugs in both dugouts (get them from the coach if necessary).
  • Check ice machine. Scoop away from back of the machine so it will continue to fill.
  • When ice machine is full, bag extra ice in freezer bags and freeze.
  • LOOK through all cabinets and drawers to see where supplies are located.
  • You will be given a moneybag that contains $100 to use for change; the money drawer is in the center stand.
  • BEGIN heating the cheese and chili. Add one 8 oz. Styrofoam cup of water to each unit of cheese before cooking in the soup server. Spray the soup servers with PAM before cooking for easy cleanup.
  • Check restrooms for paper products.

FOOD INFORMATION:

  • Pretzels—sprinkle with water before cooking, then sprinkle with pretzel salt; COOK for 1:20 in the microwave.
  • Popcorn—cook in the microwave (use button that says popcorn)
  • Peanuts—fill sandwich baggie full.
  • Candy—keep in the refrigerator; display a few as needed.
  • Wieners—thaw in microwave, then place in wiener carousel on high for approx. 5-10 minutes, then turn down to warm.
  • Burgers—(tournaments) Cook up 6 at a time to have on hand; if any are left toward the end of the game, make an announcement that they are discounted (set a price) to get rid of them.
  • Coffee and Hot Cocoa—make as requested.
  • If you run out of supplies: go to the store, save the receipt for reimbursement, note this transaction on the check out sheet.

AFTER THE GAME

  • Fill the drink machine; drinks are located in the room behind the dugout.
  • COUNT the money and complete the check out form.
  • Put the money, form, and any receipts in the moneybag and give it to the parent rep.
  • Clean both restrooms.  Mop both bathrooms last game of the week with hot bleach water.
  • PICK UP trash outside
  • Sweep bleachers, blower can be used.
  • Replace window cover.
  • Leave the light on above the outside door, return keys to parent rep.
  • Wash all cooking supplies used.  Rinse wiener carousel with hot water.  Clean & sweep kitchen.  Mop last game of the week with bleach and water.

ALL PARENTS SHOULD HELP WITH THE OUTSIDE CLEANUP AFTER THE GAME.

IF YOU ARE WORKING THE GATE (DURING SUMMER)—pay the umpires and write them a receipt, have them sign the receipts, place everything in the money bag. Return bag to parent rep.

IF YOU RUN OUT OF SOMETHING during the game have a parent on your team go to the store and purchase it, ie., buns, hot dogs, to finish the game.  OTHERWISE, PLEASE LEAVE A NOTE  and call Leisa Dick 354-7110 (h) or 924-7993 (c).

A FEW REMINDERS:

Children under 12 are not to be in the concession unless you are working and need to have your child with you. You are responsible for your child while in the concession.  PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE CONCESSION STAND unless they are getting ice for the team water jugs.

Please remember to pay for all items purchased. Players and parents are to pay for all items eaten. The exception is a tournament that the players are working, then the boys may have a drink and a hot dog for each shift that they work.
